What are the Office Hours?
Horwath Alice Springs office is open weekdays from 8-30am to 5-00pm. An answering machine operates outside of these hours. If you telephone us, your call will be directed to the staff member you require, if they are not available, leave a message on their answering service.
How do I make an appointment?
Simply email us to request an appointment or call the office during business hours. You may book an appointment with your preferred accountant or if you are new to Horwath, we can recommend someone suited to your individual needs.
Where is Horwath?
We are located on the corner of Stott Tce and Hartley St with plenty of carparking at the side of the building between the old Melanka’s and Horwath.

What is an Easy Tax Kit?
The Easy Tax Kit is the easiest way to complete your tax return. Simply follow the link to the Easy Tax Kit, download, print off and provide the required information. Once complete, mail or deliver your pack to Horwath.
The biggest benefit is that we do not need all your receipts, simply complete the forms requested within the pack where applicable.
When the return is completed you will be advised, at which point we organise to fax, mail or have you come in and sign the Electronic Lodgement Declaration which is all the confirmation required. Download the Easy Tax Kit here .
How much does an individual tax return cost?
An Easy Tax return is $132.
An Individual Tax Return including consultation with an accountant fee paid at time of interview $154
An Individual Tax Return including consultation with an accountant deducted at the time of refund $187
Payment can be made with cash, Visa or Mastercard.
What paperwork do I need to bring to an appointment?
Individual clients are required to bring details of their income, work related deductions and other deductions. Download the Checklist for 2008 Personal Income Tax Return here .
An appointment is generally half an hour. Depending on your situation you may require up to an hour if you have rental properties or other investments.

Who is my contact point?
It is important that we are accessible to our clients. To ensure this we offer you several points of contact – you can call or email your accountant directly.
To check on the progress of your work or confirm lodgement contact the Client Services Assistant who can attend to your needs.
At the conclusion of your work you will receive a phone call to arrange a meeting with your accountant to sign documentation, review your personal and business interests and to talk about the future. Documentation will be duly lodged.
How do Horwath manage the work?
Your work will be assigned to a specific accountant who will manage your assignment. Feel free to contact them any time should you have any queries or questions. They are only too willing to help you.
What do Horwath charge?
After an initial consultation to determine the breadth of your work requirements we will send you a letter of engagement. This will detail the scope of the work and related costs. For work to proceed you will need to sign and return the letter of engagement.
Do Horwath charge for initial interviews?
If the interview is to assess your needs and determine the scope of the work required then there is no individual charge. If the interview is primarily for advice then we will invoice you accordingly.
What is Horwath’s invoicing policy?
Horwath invoice periodically. We offer several methods of payment. Apart from the convenience of cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard and EFTPOS, we also offer payment via BPay and Australia Post Bill Pay. Our credit terms for account holders are 14 days. Should you have any difficulty meeting these terms, please do not hesitate to contact us.
